No. Every piece is released in person at our boutique. If you cannot travel to Tirana, contact us — in rare cases we can arrange a secure handover through a trusted representative, but the house does not operate as an online retailer.

Yes. We design and handcraft pieces to order — from classic solitaires to one-of-a-kind settings. The process starts with a conversation: what the piece is for, the stone, the setting. Allow four to six weeks from confirmation to finished piece. Custom commissions require a 30% deposit at confirmation; the balance is due on delivery.

Diamonds & Craft

Understanding the stone

The 4Cs are the universal language used to grade a diamond: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat weight. Cut describes how well the diamond's facets reflect light — the single biggest factor in brilliance. Color is graded from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). Clarity grades the presence and visibility of inclusions, from Flawless (FL) to Included (I). Carat is the weight, not the size — a heavier stone is not always a larger one. A well-balanced diamond compromises thoughtfully across all four.

Chemically and optically, nothing. Both are crystalline carbon with identical hardness, brilliance, and fire. The difference is origin: natural diamonds formed under the earth over a billion years; lab-grown are created in controlled chambers over weeks. Lab-grown cost roughly 50–70% less for a comparable stone. The choice is usually about what the piece means — rarity and legacy, or value and ethics. We carry both and will walk you through the trade-offs for your specific piece.

Cut determines how a diamond returns light to the eye — brilliance (white light), fire (spectral color), and scintillation (sparkle when the stone is moved). Two diamonds of identical carat, color, and clarity can look entirely different based on cut alone. A well-cut 0.90 ct stone will often outshine a poorly cut 1.20 ct stone. Cut is the one C we never compromise on.

Clarity grades describe how visible a diamond's inclusions (internal features) are under 10× magnification. FL and IF are essentially flawless. VVS1–VVS2 inclusions are extremely difficult to see even with a loupe. VS1–VS2 inclusions require magnification to spot. SI1–SI2 may show features under close inspection, though often not at arm's length. For most settings, VS2 or SI1 offers the best balance of appearance and value — eye-clean without the premium of a flawless grade.

A certificate from HRD, GIA, or IGI reports the 4Cs, precise measurements in millimetres, proportions, polish and symmetry grades, fluorescence, and a plotted diagram of any inclusions. Look first at cut (Excellent or Very Good is the meaningful bar), then at the combination of color and clarity relative to your budget. The certificate number is laser-inscribed on the girdle of most stones above 0.30 ct — the diamond you receive and the document should always match.

Fluorescence describes how a diamond reacts to ultraviolet light — most often with a faint blue glow. Medium-to-strong blue fluorescence can slightly mask a warm tint in lower color grades (J–M), making the stone appear whiter. In higher colors (D–H), very strong fluorescence can occasionally produce a milky look in daylight, though this affects fewer than 3% of fluorescent stones. Faint to medium fluorescence is usually invisible to the eye. We show every stone we offer in natural light before you decide.

Round brilliant is the most brilliant and the most common — roughly two-thirds of all diamonds sold. Oval and cushion offer similar fire with more presence per carat. Emerald and asscher are step-cuts, favored for clean lines and a quieter, more architectural look. Pear, marquise, heart, and radiant are distinctive and personal. The right shape is the one that reads as yours — we will try several alongside your hand.

Yes. Every natural diamond we source is compliant with the Kimberley Process and accompanied by documentation from our suppliers confirming its ethical chain of custody. Our lab-grown stones carry no mining impact at all. We are happy to walk you through the provenance of any piece in the boutique.
